1970’s
The mid 1970’s began what were to be a very successful 15 years or so for the Ogs. In 1974 Eire Og won the Martin Cup for the first time. Another Junior Hurling Championship was also added in 1974 when Ballycastle were beaten 3-10 to 1-06 at Corrigan Park. 1977 unfortunately saw favourites Eire Og beaten in a close, high scoring game 3-07 to 3-06 by Davitt's in the final of the Beringer Cup. The following year, 1978, Eire Og won the ACFL Division 3 title, and the year after saw the Junior Championship and the Beringer Cup, when they beat St Paul's in the final, come to Eire Og. The Under 12 Hurlers also won their league in 1979.
