Match Reports

The season started with a very tough match against Ardoyne up in Mallusk in hail and blizzards. We were getting hammered and came out the second half a different team, getting a few goals and points. We ended being beaten by a few points. Next match was against Davitts, who were leaders in Div 3 the year before. The heads dropped straight away and we couldn't get back into it, ending up being well beaten.

After two defeats in which the team was finding its feet and getting to know the new players, O'Mitchel Og had a great win over last year's league winners, St Teresa's 3-07 to 0-14, Ronan Rice and Aiden McGowan among the goal scorers. Niall Rice got a few points and Colm McAuley had a great game. Everyone was expecting a hammering and we got it in the 1st half, although the scoreline didn't reflect it. It was only a goal away from level. At the start of the second half, i think we got a point and that lifted the heads a bit! Then came the goal and another. The whole team played their heart out and we got the reward for it with an excellent win.

St Agnes have been strong contenders for Div 3 the last couple of seasons and we expected it to be tough. It was a good tough hurling match, every ball was fought for, in every corner of the pitch. I think they were missing a couple of players, so were we. They were there for the taking but we didn't take our chances. Then Strabane didnt field against us and we lost to Na Fuiseoig.
