History of the Club
Eire Og was founded in 1932 and has since won Football Championships, Hurling Championships, League and Cup honours and has also contributed many inter county footballers and hurlers who wore the saffron of Antrim, as well as other county colours.

There is a decade by decade history of the club. On the left click on whatever decade you wish to read about and you will see team photographs, match reports, lists of successes and general information about that decade.

Alternatively, if you would like to see how the Ogs fared in certain year, go to the Archives page where you will be able to select a particular year and a brief summary of that year will appear. If you want more specific details you can go to a particular team's page (eg: Senior Football) and there will be links to previous years for that team. Unfortunately, full details are only available since about 2001.

All current and former Ogs have the opportunity to have page dedicated to them. You can read about some of the great footballers and hurlers Eire Og has produced in the past, including members of the 1948 Senior Football Championship winning team, as well as today's footballers who also boast a Football Championship. The Player Profiles page has all these details. If you want your details included, email me for a form on

We have a list of honours that Eire Og have won, both in football and in hurling. Down below are team photographs of some of Eire Og's most successful teams, both football and hurling. Use the forward and back buttons to see the 1948 Senior Football Champions, 1967 Junior Jurling Champions, 1985 Intermediate Football Champions and 2001 Junior Football Champions.
