Eire Og have again teamed up with St Teresa's for the 2006 season at minor level under the Naomh Nua banner. The Ogs players involved are Keyvan Vesali, Niall Rice, Niall Cochrane, Aidan McGowan, Niall Cochrane and David Whelan.

Winter League Results

Ardoyne 3-9 Naomh Nua 0-6

Naomh Nua were well beaten in this first round Winter League match, played at Cherryvale. The damage was done in the first half by a more cohesive Ardoyne side whose teamwork was superior in most respects. Naomh Nua performed well in the opening ten minutes but a well taken Ardoyne goal after fifteen minutes was the start of a sustained period of dominance by Ardoyne culminating in a half time score of 2-7 to 0-2.
The second half was a different story however as Naomh Nua redeemed themselves with a creditable performance. Indeed the majority of the play was in the Ardoyne half during this period. Best for Naomh Nua were Kyvan Vesali in defence, Keelan Kerr at midfield and Paul McGoldrick in the half forward line.

Naomh Nua 1-9 Sarsfields 0-6

This was a hard earned but deserved win in the second match in the Winter League played at St Teresa?s. Unlike the first match against Ardoyne, teamwork was much more evident in this game. From the outset, against a stiff breeze, Naomh Nua players out-played and out-battled their opponents and a 5th minute goal by midfielder Keelan Kerr proved to be the foundation for victory as Sarsfields were always playing catch- up after this score. However in the first half, against the breeze, Naomh Nua had to work hard in defence relying on swift break-outs from defence to get their scores. Half time score Naomh Nua 1-3 Sarsfields 0?5
In the 2nd half Naomh Nua dominated proceedings limiting Sarsfields to a single point in this period. Og?s players Niall Rice and Niall Cochrane tormented the Sarsfields defence with Niall Rice picking up 3 points in this half. Other players to feature well in this match were Kieran Murtagh and Mark Small in defence, Niall Porter and Keelan Kerr in midfield while up front Niall Rice Paul McGoldrick and Niall Cochrane were the stars.
